READ MORECadillac Chevrolet special brake caliper 22842351 is the core component of the braking system of American performance cars. With its precision engineering design and track-level performance, it has become the preferred solution for a series of car model upgrades and modifications.
Based on the optimization of the original specifications, the caliper is made of split forged aluminum alloy technology. The weight of a single caliper is controlled within 8.5 kg. Compared with the traditional cast caliper, it is 30% lighter and 45% more rigid, perfectly fitting the original wheel hub installation position. Its internal piston adopts a gradient arrangement design, with a front six-rear four-piston layout and a 42mm super-large master cylinder diameter, which increases the braking torque to 5800N·m and shortens the 100-0km/h braking distance to 33.79 meters.
In terms of material technology, the 22842351 caliper integrates aerospace-grade silicon nitride coating technology, with a surface hardness of 1600HV and a high temperature resistance threshold of over 800℃. The friction plate adopts a carbon fiber reinforced composite ceramic formula, with silicon carbide particles accounting for 25%. With the staggered heat dissipation slot design, the thermal decay rate is less than 5% in ten consecutive emergency braking tests, and the dust generation is reduced by 60%.
For different driving scenarios, the caliper provides street and track dual-mode solutions. In daily driving mode, the progressive bite design makes the initial braking force output linear, and with the silencer and shockproof rubber, the braking noise is suppressed below 45 decibels; when switching to track mode, the optional carbon ceramic brake disc can increase the peak friction coefficient to 0.52, and the cornering braking response speed is increased by 0.3 seconds.
